“Just thinking about the call earlier to Liam and how excited Constance is to meet you, her favorite author.”

“She does know I am just a normal person who writes books?”

“I’m sure she does, but I guess your words helped her during the time they spent apart. She says Black Night closely resembled her life with the discovery her boyfriend wasn’t who she thought he was.” I know I am speaking about my friend and his fiancée and I know the reason behind their shift. This is reminding me of the road I could possibly face when I tell Dana I may not be any different than her ex.

“Wow. They always say life imitates art. Sometimes I think it’s the opposite, but when you really think about it, it’s all the same. Most writer’s draw from life as inspiration for their works, like I did with my nominated story.”

I chortle at her response. Not that it was funny, but her delivery.

“What are you laughing at, Mr. Parker?” Dana asks with a puzzled look.

“You sound like you are on one of those shows pitching your book.” My snicker turns into a full-blown laugh.

She tosses her napkin at me. “Justin, that’s not funny. I was just saying…”

“I know, babe. I think it’s endearing how you explain your reason for putting pen to pad or how you are inspired by world events or that twinkle in your eye every time you meet a fan. I love it all.”

She moves my plate from in front of me and perches her ass on the table in its place. “Oh? What else do you like?” In nothing but a button-down sleep shirt, she coyly opens her legs, revealing her beautifully waxed pussy.
